Kent currently works for Mystere by Cirque du Soleil, where he is a member of the Chinese Poles team, a powertrack specialist, and a backup for the Green Lizard character. His acrobatic background is artistic gymnastics, and he is credited as the first person to ever compete a quadruple twisting back flip. Kent also has a BFA in Painting & Sculpture from the University of Michigan [2010] and is passionate about using all of his skillsets and experiences to fabricate mythical worlds and tell compelling stories that tap into humanity’s collective zeitgeist. His creative process is highly interdisciplinary, frequently combining drawing, sculpture, electronic engineering, programming, acrobatics, physical acting, dance, and writing. His artistic influences include Julie Taymor, Shaun Tan, Kazuo Ohno, Manabu Ikeda, Alberto Giacometti, Lewis Carroll, and Guillermo del Toro.
